DESTINATION SEYCHELLES A real paradise in the Indian Ocean
White sand beaches, tropical weather, crystal clear water – this is the Seychelles. Seychelles is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean of more than 100 wonderful tropical islands. The capital is Victoria, situated on Mahé Island.
The Seychelles successfully protected its flora and fauna. The marine life around the islands, especially the more remote coral islands, can be spectacular. More than 1000 species of fish have been recorded. Once Seychelles was thought to be the Garden of Eden... I still believe it is.
Seychelles exists of 115 islands, the granitic inner islands and the coralline outer islands. There are 43 inner islands, of which the cultural and tourism centre of Seychelles is Mahé, Praslin, La Digue. Hotels can be found mostly on the inner islands. The outer islands offer a really untouched nature. Most of the islands are tiny as rocky outcrops, only two of them have accomodation for tourists. These islands offer ultimate adventure while one could visit places where no-one or only a few have gone before.
The 115 islands are all different from each other, each having its own character, geography and legendary places. No-one can leave this amazing place without visiting more than one island. You will be suprised by the diversity and unique beauty. Those who keen on a tranquil, relaxing stay will find this place a real paradise. You will discover many beautiful places, thousands of attractions worth visiting.
Activities Seychelles offers very wide range of activities. Anyone can find the perfect leisure time activity. Take a boat and go on a day-trip on the ocean or to the neighbour islands. The islands are easy distance, so you will find your crossing very interesting. Attend an organised excursion or if you prefer an individual journey rent a car and explore the islands. Visit craft shops, and have a fine dinner at a charming restaurant. Choose of water sports, go horse riding on the soft-sand beaches or play golf. Enjoy the warm night in a lounge or feel the tropical heat in an open-air disco.
When you’ve seen enough of the green tropic, go beneath the waves and experience the colorful underwater world from a glass bottom boat. The more adventurous might go diving.
